dvd rom problems
the dvd rom is designed to play on all computer dvd rom players
it will also play on most european dvd stand alone (set top) players but
not on USA set top players faq
why is the dvd is not recognised by my computer?
check that you have appropriate dvd playing software and hardware on
your computer by playing another dvd on it.
check that your dvd player can play dual layer disks (these dvds have
more than 5 gb of information on them).
try playing the disk on another computer system.
make sure the disk is not scratched and is clean.
if none of these work then contact us on info@billycowie.com
why will
the dvd rom will not play properly on my european PAL set top box?
the anarchic dance dvd rom takes the dvd specifications to the limits
in terms of its structural complexity (number of tracks, number of menus,
internal links). some manufacturers knowing that most dvds are very simple
build machines that don't comply to the agreed specifications but can
still play back 99% of commercial dvds which usually have only a few
tracks and menus. consumers encountering a more complex disk that won’t
play assume the disk is faulty and return it - disk manufacturers therefore
further simplify their disks and a vicious circle continues. the anarchic
dance dvd rom could not be this simple due to the necessity of referencing
the many chapter references. some manufacturers will supply firmware
updates for their players otherwise you my need to use a different dvd
player or a computer dvd system.
can I view the men in the wall extracts in 3d?
the single screen men in the wall extract can be viewed in 3d if you
wear a pair on normal anaglyph green/red glasses (blue/red glasses
will also work). The 3d effect works best when viewed on a computer
monitor
or laptop rather than set top dvd .
why does the fetching bride piece not appear on the works menus?
because this piece contains strobe effects we decided to make it
a little more difficult to access so that for instance a child
would be less likely
to play it. the piece can be found in the index menu and also
in the
individual chapter references for it.
